A Church Pictorial Directory, like the pictures it contains, is a wonderfully helpful tool for sharing information about a family of faith at a particular moment in its life and ministry.  But as helpful as it is, a directory can never begin to describe what a church is really like – to capture the essence of its spirit or convey the joy of its life together as a worshiping and serving community.  Because the Church of Jesus Christ, like its Lord, is a dynamic and living entity – ever moving and ever changing as the Spirit gives it breath and direction.
      And so, well into the second century of our life and  ministry together as Twin Falls First United Methodist Church, it is once again wonderfully appropriate that we publish this directory as an informative accounting of who we are at this moment in time.  But it is likewise important to remind ourselves of the deep debt of gratitude we owe to those whose service and sacrifice made it possible for us to celebrate this moment in our history of service and witness to this community.  And so we look back – giving thanks to God for the blessings of past days, but we also look with faith and optimism to the future – realizing that for the people of God, the best days are always ahead.  And for that we say, thanks be to God!
